Alex Easdale is Manager for Transnational Programs at Hispanics in Philanthropy. Alex has significant experience living and working in both Latin America and the U.S and has a Master’s degree in Latin American and Caribbean Studies/International Relations from Florida International University. On two occasions as a graduate student, he worked as a counselor for the Florida Migrant Summer Institute program, an intensive summer school program for high school age kids from Hispanic and Haitian backgrounds.
Professionally, Alex has worked as a consultant in the Argentine Consulate General in Miami twice – first in the Commercial Section and later on the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) negotiations. Most recently, Alex worked with the FTAA Secretariat as Document Officer for the negotiations held in Panama (2001-2003) and in Mexico (2003-2004) before returning to the U.S. and beginning his work with HIP.
Alex is fluent in English and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
