Ana Otero joined HIP in March 2005. Before coming to San Francisco, she lived in Madrid. There, she worked in the banking industry, assisting one of the top banking and finance lawyers in Spain.
Trilingual in Spanish, French, and English, she graduated from USF in Finance and Economics, with an emphasis in Latin America and its currency crises. Working throughout undergrad allowed her to combine college with regular stays out of the country and conduct research projects in Bolivia, Cuba and Guatemala.
She deeply enjoys working in the financial department, while being able to help other organizations to improve society. With HIP, she has found a wonderful balance between a great job and her personal life.
