Natalia Sturla is the Program Assistant for the Transnational Program based in Miami. In this role she supports HIP’s expanding transnational work. Prior to joining HIP, Natalia worked at Professional Translating Services, Inc. as ISO: 9001 and human resources coordinator, where she managed and implemented the firm’s recruiting and quality control system.  Her passion for economic development and philanthropy was born out of a service learning project she directed while obtaining her college degree. She led the Global Leadership and Service Project at Florida International University, an initiative that aims to foster a sense of global civic responsibility in students by allowing them to engage in international community service projects. Natalia had the opportunity to work with underprivileged women and children of the Klhong Toey community in Bangkok, Thailand

 

Natalia was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Puerto Rico. She moved to Florida in 2001 when she began attending the Florida International University (FIU), where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in International Business. As a Miami resident, Natalia enjoys the beautiful South Florida beaches, camping, sewing and beading among other hobbies.
