HIP Consultant Database
As the Latino nonprofit sector continues to mature and expand in its efforts to address the complexities of burgeoning Latino communities, the need to access culturally competent consultants has become increasingly important. Through the Funders’ Collaborative, HIP has increased our knowledge of consulting services that provide culturally competent assistance. Informed by Funders’ Collaborative grantees, HIP funders, and HIP members, we have compiled the HIP Consultant Database, a broad collection of consultant contact and specialization information. We hope that this needed resource will be an asset to the nonprofit field and expand access to culturally competent consultants.
Information for the Consultant Database is collected on a recommendation basis. HIP requests recommendations of culturally competent consultants from current grantees, funders and members on a regular basis. After being referred by a HIP contact, the consultants are listed in the database if they have completed the necessary paperwork (currently an online survey), including information on how organizations can contact them and the top three areas of capacity building/organizational development they provide. It is the responsibility of the consultants to provide us with accurate information.
*HIP Does Not Endorse Consultants in Database
HIP does not recommend or endorse consultants to Latino-led nonprofits or any other organizations by listing a consultant in the database. Rather, HIP provides a service to grantees by assisting them in identifying and accessing consultants who have technical assistance expertise and have experience working with the Latino community.
This service is only available to HIP members and to participants in the Funders’ Collaborative. For more information on how to become a member of HIP, click here.
