Film Synopsis:

The Sixth Section, a 27-minute documentary that is currently showing at film festivals across the country, tells the story of Grupo Unión, an extraordinary organization created by a community of Mexican immigrants living and working in upstate New York. Through their collective efforts they have raised tens of thousands of U.S. dollars to rebuild their Mexican hometown of Boquerón, Puebla in Mexico. This revealing documentary sheds new light on an unexplored phenomenon driving the global economy and poignantly demonstrates how today's 21st century immigrants are redefining the "American Dream."
