HIP's Massachusetts/Rhode Island Funders' Collaborative Announces New Round of Grantmaking in 2007

It is with great enthusiasm that HIP announces the 4th Round of Grants in Massachusetts/Rhode Island. As of May 7, we have released the RFP inviting Latino nonprofits to submit a proposal for a capacity-building grant.  The deadline for submission is June 15, 2007.

Additionally, HIP will be offering three Applicant Information Sessions on May 21 in Springfield, MA,* and on May 22 in Boston, MA and Providence, RI.  At these sessions, we will present a brief overview of the Funders’ Collaborative, we will discuss capacity building and we will answer any questions regarding the application process and timeline.

* For the May 21 Session in Springfield, please note that the Applicant Information Session will be held in the Hampden East Room of the Marriott Hotel, next to the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts. Directions to the Hotel are the same as to get to the Foundation; however, you will use the elevators for the Marriott rather than the Office Tower.

The Funders’ Collaborative for Strong Latino Communities (HIP-FC) is a project of Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP) that brings together foundation and corporate donors to support capacity-building among Latino-led, Latino-serving nonprofit organizations with annual operating budgets under $2 million.

Nonprofit organizations interested in applying should read the eligibility criteria in HIP’s website and sign up to receive the applicant information packet.   For more information, please contact:
