Hispanics in Philanthropy Receives 2007 Kellogg Foundation Leadership in Action Award
Award Ceremony to be Held in Seattle, May 1st
|

HIP has been selected as one of five national recipients of a 2007 Leadership in Action Award from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation!
The Leadership in Action Award Program was established by the Kellogg Foundation in 2004 "to honor the innovation of nonprofits that have successfully connected resources of time, money, and know-how to strengthen communities of color." We are honored and excited to be recognized for the work we have done with the Latino community, and the bridges we have built to other communities of color. The Kellogg Foundation will make the official presentation of this award on May 1st in Seattle, as part of their Cultures of Giving Conference.

We also want to congratulate the other four organizations that join us as honorees this year: The Asian American Federation of New York, Asian Immigrant Women Advocates, Associated Black Charities of Maryland, and First Nations Development Institute.
We view this award not just as a recognition of past accomplishments, but as a reminder that we need to remain an active and leading voice for Latino communities in the field of philanthropy to accomplish all we have dreamed of for HIP.
