National Hispana Leadership Institute Graduation
The National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI) concluded its 2004 program with a week in Washington, D.C., and a graduation luncheon. The NHLI program consists of four week-long sessions in different locations across the country, each focusing on a different topic. The final week in Washington, D.C., was entitled “Impacting Decision-Makers and National Policy,” and explored policy development and the legislative process through meetings with Congressional representatives and national leaders. The session began Sept. 12 and ended with a graduation celebration on Sept. 17.
