Hispanics in Philanthropy announces the hiring of two new employees:  Linda Fitzgerald, Director of Transnational Programs, and Kate Seely, Executive Assistant to the President.

 

Linda Fitzgerald, former deputy director of the Knight Foundation in Miami, will become HIP’s Director of Transnational Programs in July. A seasoned funder and a veteran of both the corporate and philanthropic sectors, Linda has lived Brazil, where she  was a member of an international team of consultants based in Rio de Janeiro that developed and serviced contracts for market research and program design of business development services projects.  Linda received her MBA in International Marketing from the University of Maryland. Linda joins HIP as our Transnational Program Director, and will be based in Florida.
 

Kate Seely, a former director of Puente a la Salud Comunitaria, a nonprofit working to eradicate malnutrition in Oaxaca, is the new Executive Assistant to the President.  A native of San Francisco, Kate speaks fluent Spanish, has a passion for social justice and economic development and the ability to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities all at once. She is a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont, where she studied Latin American Studies.
