The New America Alliance, a network of Latino business executives with a focus on philanthropy, recognized HIP at their annual conference in June, 2006, with an award for economic capital philanthropy. Juliet Garcia, trustee of Ford, Linda Griego, trustee of Robert Wood Johnson, and Michael Torres of Adelante Capital Management, will receive awards at the same program. HIP is honored by the recognition of our peers and grateful for their partnership. HIP member Helen Alessi, of the Edwin Gould Foundation for Children was key in nurturing HIP's relationship with the NAA leadership, which led to this award.
