Helen Dorado-Alessi Elected to NYRAG Board of Directors

Helen Dorado-Alessi was elected to the Board of Directors of NYRAG, the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers, at its 26th Annual Meeting on May 3rd. Helen is the Senior Program Officer at the Edwin Gould Foundation for Children. She received her Master’s from Bernard M. Baruch College of Public Affairs and completed study with the New School University Milano Graduate School. Helen serves on the boards of Hispanics in Philanthropy and the Edwin Gould Academy, on the Steering Committee for the New York City Youth Funders Network, and as President of the Class of 2004 of the National Hispana Leadership Institute.
A nonprofit membership organization founded in 1979, NYRAG promotes and supports the practice of effective philanthropy for the public good. Its members comprise more than 270 public and private grantmakers in the New York metropolitan area, including long-standing family foundations and philanthropic advisory groups, the region’s premier community foundations, small faith-based and large international grantmakers, operating foundations, federated funds, and corporate contributions programs.
