Hispanics in Philanthropy was featured prominently in the Chronicle of Philanthropy's September 28, 2006 cover story, "Tapping Hispanic Philanthropy." The article included an in-depth look at HIP's North Carolina Funders' Collaborative for Strong Latino Communities, as well as the national-level Funders' Collaborative program. HIP President Diana Campoamor and HIP Program Coordinator South Ilana Dubester were cited in the article on several occasions. To date the Funders' Collaborative has made capacity-building grants to 369 Latino nonprofits, including 28 in North Carolina, and has raised more than $30 million for the Collaborative from 153 funding organizations.
