HIP Shares Condolences for Leader in Higher Education for Latinos in the U.S. 

Oakland, CA — On the day of his memorial, Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP) extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Ronald Blackburn-Moreno, a deeply loved Puerto Rican leader in higher education, and President of ASPIRA Association in New York. HIP’s President & CEO, Ana Marie Argilagos, shared the following thoughts. 

“This news truly saddens me, Ron was not only a champion for Puertorriqueños but all Latinxs in higher education. His legacy is a testament to how we can all successfully use our voices and influence to push our communities forward. We’ve lost a giant in our community but his legacy will continue. On behalf of the HIP familia, I share our love and strength to his family and all those who had the honor of sharing space with Ron.”
